NEW BERN - Betty Gayle Knight Cannon, 59, 115 Albacore Lane Lot 16, New Bern died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.She was employed as a teacher's assistant at Brinson Memorial Elementary School. She was a minister and choir member at New Beginning Live Oak Church of Bridgeton.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept, 22, 2012 at Queen's Chapel FWB Church with the Reverend Charles Sims, Sr. pastor/officiant and the Rev. Allen Patrick, Eulogist. The interment will follow in the Knight Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Jeamsey Knight and Uriah Cannon of the home, Christopher Little of Greenville and LaJoia Cannon of Largo, Md.; seven siblings, Gloria Knight of New Bern, Cassandra Baker of Upper Marlboro, Md., Martha Knight of Mitchellville, Md., Venice Knight, Jr. and Ronald Knight of Vanceboro, Terone Knight of Laurel, Md. and Lee Knight of Seat Pleasant, Md. and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing hours at Oscar's Mortuary are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21.
