LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Betty Jane (Edelmann) Brush, 88, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Gerald Levine Center at the Loudonville Home for Adults.

Born in Fort Smith, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Leo and Rosena (Ehing) Edelmann. Betty was a graduate of St. Anne's Academy in Fort Smith. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Both she and her late husband, George had lived in New Bern, N.C., for over 20 years. She moved to Albany five years ago to be with her daughter. Betty enjoyed playing golf, dancing and fishing at the family cottage in Canada.

She is the wife of the late George B. Brush; beloved mother of Judith (Bill) Blanchard of Delmar, N.Y., Michael (Sharyn) Brush of Bennington, Vt., Scott Brush of New York City, Patricia Brush of Medway, Mass. and the late Gary Brush; devoted grandmother of Ashley Brush of Bennington, Vt., Corey (Christine) Brush of Marlborough, Conn., and Michael (Renee) Blanchard of Glenmont, N.Y.; great-grandmother of Harper Blanchard; sister of the late Dolores Kosciuk; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A special "thank you" to Tammi Howard and her staff at the Gerald Levine Center at Loudonville Home for Adults for the compassionate and loving care extended to our Mom and all the family.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
