VANCEBORO - Mrs. Eula Bell Fillingame, 91, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church by Rev. Mike Scott. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Fillingame, a native and life-long resident of the Vanceboro community of Craven County, was a member of Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fillingame and a sister, Pearlie Boyd.
She is survived by sons, Edward Earl Fillingame and wife, Betty Jean, of Smithfield and Rodney Fillingame, Sr. and wife, Barbara, of Vanceboro; grandchildren, Rodney Fillingame, Jr. and wife, Leigh Ann, of New Bern, Daniel Lee Fillingame and wife, Ashley, of Vanceboro and David Earl Fillingame and wife, Edna, of Smithfield; great grandson, Joshua Lee Fillingame of New Bern; and special niece who is like a daughter, Cheryl Fillingame Wilson and husband, Raymond, of Vanceboro; a sister, Elizabeth Ipock and brother, Ray Fillingame both of Vanceboro.
The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Thanks to all of the people at Trent Pac Nursing Home in New Bern who showed love and care for Mrs. Fillingame.
