HAVELOCK - Jacquetta Marie Pullens Cooper, 67, of 315 Tallpine Road, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at CarolinaEast Medical Center. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and served as choir director of the ladies choir. She was owner and operator of Ribbons and Bows-balloon decorator.
Her funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Grace Baptist Church, 520 Roberts Road, Newport with the Rev. Clyde I. Eborn, pastor. Interment will follow in Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens, Havelock.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin T. Cooper of the home; one son, Lawrence E. Cooper of Rocky Mount; three daughters, Camille C. Steepleton of Bedford, Va., Anna C. Adams of Spring Lake, and Tiana R. Cooper of Havelock; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, at the mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Grace Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
