John Paul Zubia
ALLIANCE - John Paul Zubia, 24, of Alliance had his going home, Thursday, February 13, 2014.
He was a linebacker and left tackle with the Pamlico County High School football team and was also a wrestler and on the track team.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Virgil U. and Virginia Rae Lockey and his paternal grandfather, Cesario Zubia.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Sina Zubia of Alliance; his son, Collin Cash of Dobson, NC; his sister, Christina (Cha-Cha) Nicole Zubia of Grantsboro; two brothers, Santiago "CJ" Rios Jr. and Daniel "Budda" Santiago Rios, both of Alliance; paternal grandmother, Zenaida Gonzalez Zubia of Mexico; nieces and nephews, MaKayla and Leland Rios, Yazmin-Rae and Yianelli Olguin, and Marcos and Michael Garcia, Ayden; and lots of family and friends.
His funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately in Cowell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home and at other times at his parents' home, 228 Cowell Rd., Alliance.
