KINSTON - Mrs. Susann Lewis Dail, 79, died Friday, October 25, 2013.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2 pm in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.

Mrs. Dail was a native of Craven County, and was employed with Stanley Tools in New Bern, and later with Roberk Manufacturing in Vanceboro. She was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Vanceboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Rosa Mills Kite; first husband, Raymond Lewis; brother, David Kite; and infant sister, Mary Louise Kite.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Vernon Dail; sons, Henry Dail and wife, Becky, of Kinston and Eugene Dail, of Dalton, GA; daughters, Denise Taylor and husband, Blaney, of Vanceboro, Lois Avery, of Ayden, Lisa Hart and friend, Kelly Case, of Vanceboro, and Dora Scherer and husband, Jesse, of Grimesland; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; canine companions, Rusty and Midnight, of the home; special niece, Louise Lewis, of Chocowinity; special friend, Inez Hill; and caregiver, Christine Thomas.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro.

The family would like to express their appreciation to staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
