BRIDGETON - Lloyd Wesley "Buddy" Bell, 65, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home. He worked with the City of New Bern in the Water & Sewer Dept. for 32 years prior to his retirement in 1995. Buddy was well loved and will be remembered as a good husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. A service to remember and celebrate Buddy's life will be 4 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Pollock-Best Funeral Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Patrick Bell and Alice Victoria Godwin Bell. He is survived by his wife, Sarah J. Bell; four children, Wesley Andrew Bell, Wade Allen Bell, Angela Marie Maher and Kenny Ray Barnes; three sisters, Vivian Ann Rouse, Margie Purifoy and Betty Lou Toler; three brothers, Danny Wayne Bell, Donald Ray Bell and David Lee Bell; six grandchildren, Kayla Loraine Bell, Stephanie Brooke Bell, Alexander Logan Bell, Matthew Lee Geter, Carson Ray Barnes and Landon James Antee; and one great granddaughter, Hallie Irene Maurer.
