NEW BERN - Louise Loftin Nobles, 88, of New Bern, died Saturday, June 15, 2013. She was a member of Franklin Memorial Methodist Church in Morehead City. She loved working in her yard and she never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Nobles, Sr. and her stepson, Eric Keith Nobles.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Pollock-Best Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Motley officiating. Burial will follow at the Trenton Cemetery.
She is survived by three children, Larry DuVal of Pollocksville, Wanda McGinnis (Kevin) of New Bern, and Donna Haddock (Mike) of Trenton; one stepson, Charles E. Nobles, Jr. (Donna) of Durham; eight grandchildren, Michael Haddock, Michelle Jarman, April Tripp, Andy Meadows, Deanna DuVal, Ryan Nobles, Meredith Chiapella, and Melanie Stroud; several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends just prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church of Morehead City or Trenton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 520, Trenton, NC 28585.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Zavelo and staff, Dr. Cho and staff, and the staff at Two Rivers Healthcare Trent Campus (especially Bridgett) for their compassionate care.
