Ralph Dunn was born on April 14, 1966 in Switzerland. He returned to the US while still in infancy where he was placed in Carobell Nursery in Jacksonville, NC. Ralph resided at Carobell for the next 17 ½ years until he moved to RHA Howell Care Center in River Bend. For the next 29 years Ralph lived, laughed and loved at Howell's until his death at CarolinaEast Medical Center on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He will truly be missed by all the staff at Howell's.Ralph is survived by his loving adopted family Kendra and Bill King of Stella, Cameron E. King of Chicago, Ill. and Evan H. King of Wilmington, as well as numerous friends and care providers at Howell's.
Ralph never met a stranger and was known for his infectious huge smile and sparkling eyes.
For those of us who knew Ralph, we are blessed to know such a warrior and our lives are enriched by this friendship.
Friends and loved ones are invited to a visitation for Ralph at Cotten Funeral Home on Friday, August 17, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. Family members will hold a scattering ceremony at a later date.
