Robert Earl Brown


POLLOCKSVILLE - Robert Earl Brown, 62, of 144 Hawthoren Lane, Pollocksville, died on

Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

He received his education in the Jones and Craven County public schools.

He was a member of the United States Army and employed with civil service at Cherry Point air station as a sheet metal worker. He was a member of Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and choir member.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Katie Dillahunt Brown of the home; his twin children, Kendrick J. Brown of Jacksonville and Kendria J. Brown of Trenton; four grandchildren; two brothers, the Rev. Bobby Ward of Pollocksville and Gregory Mack of New Bern; two sisters, Mary Willie of Pollocksville and Hattie Holt of New Bern.

The family will be receiving their friends and guest at the residence.

Viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in the Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West St., New Bern and on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service.

Funeral service will be held on at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Gray Sr. officiating. Interment with military honors will immediately follow the service in the Dillahunt Family Cemetery, Longpoint Community.

Arrangements are by Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., New Bern.
