VANCEBORO, N.C. - Tracy Alan Germon, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 16, 2012.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Vanceboro, Tracy was a graduate of West Craven High School and had attended Pitt Community College. He was employed with Garris-Evans in New Bern and previously was employed with Colony Tire. He attended Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Tracy will be fondly remembered as a loving son, father and husband who was a best friend to many, especially his wife. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Alan Germon in 1979.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Mahoney Germon; daughter, Kaitlyn Lendora Germon; mother, Judy Barrow Germon, all of Vanceboro; half-sister, Ila Hughes and husband, Bill of New Bern; mother and father-in-law, Frances and Jim Mahoney of Vanceboro.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:30 until 3 p.m. at the church.
