VANCEBORO - Rev. William H. "Billy" Hudson, 60, went to his celebration in Heaven on Thursday, March 7, 2013.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Antioch Free Will Baptist Church.
Rev. Hudson, a native of Beaufort County, had been a lifelong resident of the Vanceboro community. A graduate of Farm Life High School, he worked in textile management with National Spinning Co. Inc and Amital Spinning Corp. In his ministry he founded the Finished Work Fellowship Church in Ernul. After his retirement he attended the Antioch Free Will Baptist Church in New Bern.
He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow E. Hudson; and two brothers, Woodrow E. Hudson Jr. and James Robert Hudson.
He is survived by his wife, June W. Hudson; daughter, Angela "Stacie" Hudson and fiancé Robert Wilson Jr. of Greenville; son, Christopher H. Hudson and wife Amy of Vanceboro; step-daughter, Rebecca E. Faircloth and husband Dale of Ft. Lewis, Wash.; stepson, Bobby L. Register and wife Missy of Warsaw; grandchildren, Christopher W. Hudson, Morgan Warren, Jordan, Phoebe and Devon Faircloth, William and Katlyn Register; mother, Ethel C. Hudson; brother, Marvin L. Hudson and wife Jean; sister, Marie H. Dixon, all of Vanceboro.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6–8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Vanceboro.
