Eva Sue Morton Moore, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 17, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Eva was born on July 22, 1936 in Craven County. She was a dedicated member of Bridgeton F.W.B.Church. She always loved being at church with her church family. Eva loved all of her family and friends very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly and was always proud to be their "Nanny".
She was a seamstress at Sager Garment Company for many years until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years; William "Bill" Moore Jr.; her father, Owen B. Moore; and mother, Eva Banks Morton.
She is survived by two sons Danny Moore of Vanceboro, and Ricky Moore of New Bern; two daughters; Sue McDowell of New Bern, and Lori Baker & husband Johnny of New Bern; two sisters, Rosa Cash and Mary Tilghman and her husband, Ed Tilghman, all of Kinston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Danny Bell Jr. and wife Doris, Stephen Bell and girlfriend Amber Balance, Joseph Brinkley & wife Kari, Taylor Baker, Hunter Moore, and Natalie Gaskins.
She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Meradith Bell, Victoria Bell, Jazmyn Bell, Ethan Bell, Jordan Bell, Alexis Bell, Cameron Messina, Blaine Gaskins and Brantley Gaskins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
Interment will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
