NEW BERN - Andrew Anthony "Andy" Yandura, 86, of New Bern, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Andy was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church serving as an usher and greeter. His civic interest included membership in the Knights of Columbus Council 3303 as a 4th Degree Knight, and bingo volunteer, the Elks and American Legion. Andy was an volunteer, fundraiser and coach for the Craven County Special Olympics.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Lewis, celebrant. The burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Yandura of the home; one son, Gerald Yandura of Virginia Beach, Va.; two stepdaughters, Monica Reinhardt of Palm Beach, Calif. and Lisa Enquist of Seattle, Wash., two brothers, Tony Yandura of Orange, Calif., and Joseph Yandura of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Sophie Terry of Ohio and Agnes Yandura of Tennessee; and six grandchildren.

The visitation will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday followed by the Rosary at Oscar's Mortuary.
