NEW BERN - Linda Fay Tripp, age 58, a resident of 943 Antioch Road, died Friday, September 21, 2012.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Linda was born August 24, 1954, in Craven County the daughter of the late Leroy Tripp and Mary Sawyer Tripp. She graduated from high school in Craven County and attended Craven Community College where she received her nursing degree. Linda was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for 30 years until retiring due to her health. She was known for her love for people and would go without to make sure others had the things they needed. Cats and playing bingo were her great loves and she was well known for her proud holler when she said "Bingo".

She is survived by Joe Cummings Sr. of New Bern; a son, Joe Cummings Jr. of Chocowinity; and her grandson, Aaron Cumming of Chocowinity.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial be made in memory of Linda Fay Tripp c/o P.O. Box 699, Washington, NC 27889.
