NEW BERN - Minnie Bell Morris Tripp, affectionately known as "Ma" by most of her family, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the age of 94 years. She was born and raised in Vanceboro, but lived most of her life in the Clarks community where she worked diligently alongside her husband, Raleigh Bruce Tripp, on the family farm until his death in 1994. Ma loved her children and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed cooking for them and crocheting in her spare time. She also loved the Lord and faithfully attended church before her health began to decline. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Wilmer Earl Tripp and Harvey L. Tripp Sr.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Pollock-Best Funeral Chapel with Rex Bennett and Brenda Odom officiating. Burial will follow at the Tripp Family Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Cooper Tripp of Roberta, Ga.; sister, Ollie Mae Morris of Ayden; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends just prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends are invited to sign the guest book by visiting www.pollockbest.com.
