He attended Grace Baptist Church in Newport. He was retired from the Craven County Schools Maintenance Department.
He is survived by his wife, Iris Eborn; three sons, Mark Eborn of New Bern, Daniel Eborn of Chesapeake, Va. and Joseph Eborn of Newport; three brothers, Clyde Eborn of Newport, James Eborn and Roy Eborn, both of New Bern; five sisters, Linda Penney of Benson, Alice Asby and Laura Lockwood, both of Morehead City, Sady Wooten of New Bern, Lillian Ortley of Benson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Cotten Funeral Home.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Grace Baptist Church in Newport. Burial will follow in the Croatan Cemetery.
