Amos Connor Obituary
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 27 at Croatan Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at the Croatan Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM, Monday, January 26, 2015 at Pollock~Best Funeral Home, and other times at the family home. Those wishing to offer words of hope and condolences may visit www.pollockbest.com. Memorials, in memory of Amos, may be made to Croatan Presbyterian Church, 6375 US Hwy 70 E. New Bern, NC 28562.
Amos is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra Gaskins Connor; children, Judy C. Zocco, and husband Pete, of New Bern, NC; Laura C. Malina, and husband Ronnie, of Victoria, TX; and Amos W. Connor, IV, and wife Lisa, of New Bern, NC. Amos also leaves behind his five grandchildren, Ronnie, Jr. (Shelly), Anna, Shelly (Philip), Melissa, Amos V; and his seven great grandchildren, Sam, Ronnie, III, Claudia, Cole William, Connor, Adyson, and Wyatt. He was also like a father to his many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Amos was a real gentleman and a dedicated Police Officer. There were few like Amos he would always go out f his way to help people and always treated everyone even and fairly. I learned a lot from him and was honored to have worked with him.

Only meet Major Connor but knew of him through his son at PCS Phosphate, so sorry for your loss, he was a good man.
