Joseph Avolis Obituary

NEW BERN | Joseph Avolis, 76, of New Bern, died April 18, 2015.

Joe was a Supervisor of mine many years ago and a friend. I just learned he had passed away last night. I am very sorry to hear that and I will keep Mrs. Irene and the children in my prayers. I learned a lot from Joe as he was a dedicated individual and very skilled and talented.

To Irene, and all the Avolis family. My prayers our with you. Joe was one of my best managers at Stanadyne for many years, and I also considered him a great friend. He often spoke with me about all his children with much joy and pride in their accomplishments. You had dad I know that exemplified a work ethic that was a sure path to your success. I know you will miss him, but have many found memories! Treasure them in the days and years ahead, and look to your Heavenly Father for your source of comfort. May God Bless you all. Randy Varni.

To all the Avolis Family, My heart goes out to you at this time for your loss. Growing up with you all was a great part of my life. The memories I have, I will cherish for ever. What a great man Mr. Joe was. He, Joey and Kevin taught me how to water ski. Mr. Joe was so helpful to my family. Every time my dad needed some electrical work done. He would call Mr. Joe and he'd come right over and take care of my dad's needs. You all are more than friends to me. I have always thought of you as family. Please know that I love you all. My heart is heavy too with Mr. Joe's passing. I pray to God to ease your hearts and souls. Sincerely, Mike Elks
