NEWBERRY — Ernestine Fuller, 87, of Newberry, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at the J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Born on Aug. 5, 1926 in Batesburg, she was the daughter of the late Joe B. and Allie Enlow Miller.
Mrs. Fuller was a former member of Hunt Memorial Baptist Church and attended Lewis Methodist Church.
She retired from the Kendall Company, Oakland Plant. After her retirement, she worked as a house parent at Whitten Center for a number of years.
Mrs. Fuller loved her family and enjoyed making a wonderful home for them. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold E. Fuller; daughter, Ruby Jean (Joe)
Miller of Newberry; son, Rev. Stanley C. (Joyce Wells) Fuller of Donalds, SC; grandchildren, Wendy (David) Donahue, Carrie Burton, James (Amanda) Point, Allie (Mickey) Compton, and Aminee (Domonique) Cockfield; 7 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Arthur Laverne Miller who was raised in the home.
Funeral services were conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stanley Fuller and Rev. Jimmy Counts.
Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens.Visitation was from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.
