NEWBERRY — Funeral service for Ms. Evelyn D. Goree, will be conducted on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Presbyterian Church cemetery.
Ms. Goree passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at her home. Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late James Payne Crump and the late Fannie Mae Wise Cannon. She was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church and AP & B Society.
Ms. Goree was predeceased by sisters, Wilhelmina C. Ruff and Pearl Ola Mae Sims; brothers, Willie Jay Cannon and Milton G. Cannon.
Surviving are three daughters, Renita (Terrence) Bookman; LaTunga (Thomas) Worthy; Teresa Wise; one son, Frederick (Tameka) Goree; four sisters, Mary Lee Hutcherson, Andrenia Harp, Alice Koon and Angela Robinson; three brothers, Larry Cannon, Ronnie Cannon and Tony Cannon all of Newberry, SC; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
