Richard Hudgens

NEWBERRY — Richard Couch Hudgens, 72, formerly of Moreland Avenue in Laurens passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, at White Oak Manor in Newberry.

Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Robert Roy and Ruth Couch Hudgens. Mr. Hudgens retired from Milliken and was a member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving are his children: Amanda Hudgens (Adam Brewer) of Clinton and Adam Hudgens (Kendyl Hudgens) of Little Mountain; two grandchildren: Eli and Malakye Brewer of Clinton; and a close friend, Hattie King of Greenwood.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Bob Hudgens.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. James K. Hamilton and Rev. Michael Post with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes. Visitation will be at The Kennedy Mortuary one hour prior to the service.
