Virginia Frances Lewis McCollum

PROSPERITY — Virginia Frances Lewis McCollum, 86, widow of Edward A. "Jam Up" McCollum, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her residence.

Born on November 7, 1927, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late John Will and Cleo Hall Lewis. She was retired from American Fiber and Finishing – Oakland Plant and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa "Terrie" Elaine Luchock of Prosperity and Mary Ann Rae of Batesburg; grandchildren, Daniel Ray (Soraya) Arrowood, Jr., Lloyd (Tracy) Arrowood, Crystal Elaine Luchock, Christina (Chuck) Poton, Misty Michele Rikard, Tiffany Ann (Benji) Richardson and Cheryl Hamby; great-grandchildren, Brenda, Brandon, April, Josh, Angel Lynn, Craig, Michael and Cody.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Waco Cotney and Rev. Scott Kierstead. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 2503 Bethel Church Road Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Danny Arrowood, Lloyd Arrowood, Kris Prater, Benji Richardson, Chuck Poton and Stevie Gurley.
