NORWAY, SC — Betty Jean Morris Brunson, 72,, of Norway, SC died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Trident Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, S.C.
She was born on March 7, 1941 in Newberry County, the daughter of the late Hoyt E. and Margaret Bowers Morris.
Mrs. Brunson was a member of Colony Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin M. Brunson; sons, David Osborne of West Virginia, James Osborne of Weisport, PA, and Randy Brunson and Chad Brunson (Kim) all of Norway; step-son, Don Brunson (Martha) of Swansea; brothers, Maxie E. Morris of Myrtle Beach and James R. Morris of Leavenworth, KS; grandchildren, Amanda, Randy, Dillion, Tanner, and Savannah Brunson; 4 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren including a special great grandchild, Cheyenne; and a step-great grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Kenny Osborne. All of whom she loved very dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel, Newberry, SC by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. Burial will follow in the Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The will receive friends and family from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral service at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Randy Brunson, Jr., Dillon Brunson, Michael Morris, James Osborne, Bob Rivers, and Robbie Rivers.
