NEWBERRY — Mr. Henry Bouknight, Sr., 76, of 234 Green Acres Road in Silverstreet entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Self-Regional Hospital in Greenwood. He was born to the late Jesse Bouknight and the late Evalina Tribble Bouknight on January 7, 1938 in Silverstreet.
He was a member of Little River Baptist Church in Silverstreet, where he served as a Chairman of the Deacon Board and was a member of the senior choir.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious memories are his wife, Thelma Stephens Bouknight of the home; two sons, Henry Bouknight Jr. and Cortez Bouknight, both of Silverstreet; step-son, Tommy L. Stephens (Velma) of Silverstreet; daughter, Maxine McWilliams of Austin, Texas; three step-daughters, Gloria Cannon of Columbia; Sarah Boyd of Silverstreet and Joyce Dunbar (John) of Newberry; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; three brothers, M L Bouknight, Willie James Bouknight and Nathaniel Bouknight, all of Silverstreet; two sisters, Jesse Lee Byres and Mary Arnette, both of Lexington, N.C.; sister-in-law, Lizziel Jackson of Haines City, Fla. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service and burial will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Little River Baptist Church in Silverstreet. The family will receive friends at the home at 234 Green Acres Road in Silverstreet.
