POMARIA — Mary Ella Ruth Wicker Long, 89, widow of Kenneth Ray Long, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at her residence.

Born on April 3, 1924, in the St. Philip's section of Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Essie Mae Amick Wicker. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was member of the Golden Agers and was former Sunday School teacher and member of WELCA.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Long Sullivan of Pomaria; grandchildren, Karamie, Tanner and Skyler Sullivan. Mrs. Long was predeceased by sisters, Pearl Leitzsey and Mae Wicker and a brother, Claude Wicker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
