Akers, PhD, and Ann Wilson Summer and her husband Wayne Green, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Paul Summer Akers of Columbia; Elizabeth Bartlee Akers Davis of Charleston and her husband Scott; Caroline Gibson Akers, PhD of Columbia; and a great-grandson, Clayton Joseph Davis.
