Nichols, Joyce B.*  
Joyce B. Nichols, 66, of Eastlake, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2016. She was born in Cleveland, on April 12, 1950, to the late Stanley and Irene (nee Lake) Kazek. She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her greatest joy and source of pride were her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid collector of dolls who had a special place in her heart for animals. She was proudly employed at Academy Communications in Mayfield for the past 18 years. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Tiffany (Steven) Aquila and Tracy (Dave) Wolff, grandchildren, Laikin (Devin) Walker, Shannan, Caitlin and Annie; great-grandchildren, Audriana, Brooklyn and Vivian; sister, Janice (Dr. Philip) Price; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Kazek. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Followed by a memorial service at 8 p.m.

Nelson, Leo P. "Papa Leo"*  
Leo P. "Papa Leo" Nelson, age 69, of Painesville passed away peacefully at Homestead II Sunday, June 5, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born May 16, 1947 in Brainerd, MN, the first son of the late Hilding "Bill" and Rita Nelson. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1965 and joined the Marine Corps on February 16, 1966 remaining state side in bulk fuels until he was Honorably Discharged on February 15, 1968. Leo then worked his way into the Cleveland area settling in Painesville and worked at Trio Prescioneering as a machinist for 37 years before retiring in 2012. Papa enjoyed his family farm, his grandchildren, gardening, cooking, shooting pool, wood working, fishing, horse pulls, auctions, and being with his family. He is greatly missed by Joyce, his wife of 23 years; children, Michael (Rachele) Burkett, Matthew (Arlene) Burkett, and Melissa (Dean) West; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Iris (Steve) Shively, William (Sue) Nelson, Ed (Gayle) Nelson, Rosanne (Bruce) Caughey, Ron (Barb) Nelson, Gloria (Rick Williams) Nelson; many nieces and nephews. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Hilding "Bill" and Rita Nelson and brother, Duane (Mary) Nelson. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 25, 2016 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Mr. Lee's, 3564 S. Ridge Road, Perry, Oh. 44081. Papa's journey home to Minnesota will be completed in July, 2016.
