Garrison Bombick, Mary Jane (Morris)*  
Mary Jane Garrison Bombick (nee Morris), age 83, of Eastlake, passed away March 23, 2016. She was born in Wheeling, WV to the late Daniel and Sarah Morris. For 40 years she worked in the real estate industry in Lake County, Ohio. She was a proud and loving mother of James (Debbie) and Brian (Elaine) Garrison; grandmother of Emily (Phil) Trimble, Greg (Kim) and Katie Garrison and great-grandmother of Olivia Trimble and Xavier Garrison. She will be greatly missed by many. Mary Jane is survived by her sister, Joann Johnson; sister-in-law, Barbara Morris and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Morris Friends and family are invited to a Visitation and Celebration of her life on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 2 to 4 p.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 4:15 p.m.

Gray, Bettie Kerr*  
Born Virginia Elizabeth Kerr in Vancouver, B.C. in 1921 to Virginia Davenport Kerr and John Harold Kerr, Bettie lived a long life of family, dance, music and art. She passed away on May 5, 2016 in South Carolina, where she was living with her daughter and son-in-law Heidi and James Humphries. Wife, for 52 years, of Gordon Dallas Gray (deceased); mother of Diane Gray of Painesville, Karen Whiting of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Heidi Humphries of Piedmont, S.C.; grandmother of Gregory and Timothy Davidson, Cheri Milan, David and Patrick Benadum, Julie and James Humphries, James Viera, and Cole and Tyler Whiting; great grandmother of Chad D'Aiello, Jamie Wannemacher, Alexis, Andrea and Sydney Benadum, Sadie and Riley Pickens, Triston Davidson, Lola and Marco Viera, Ryan and Ally Whiting, Haley, David and Cara Benadum; great great grandmother of Bristol and Milan Wannemacher. She was preceded in death by her brother Murray Kerr and sister Barbara Croswhite. Bettie taught dance in Painesville for over 50 years. Many of her students remember her as their "second Mom". She affected the lives of many young people as she danced, sang, played the piano, designed and sewed costumes, and painted beautiful murals on the walls of the Studio Theatre. She also taught dance many summers for NADAA, traveling across the United States. The Grays moved from Painesville to Washington Court House in 1991 where Bettie served as President of the Fayette County Genealogical Society for several years. A celebration of Bettie's life will be held at Summers Funeral Home, 223 W. Market St., Washington Court House, OH on June 18 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bettie's name to Hospice House of Greenville, 1836 West Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680.

Gray, John David*  
John David Gray, age 43, died on May 20, 2016, while working in Easton, Pa. He was born in Chardon, Ohio on March 24, 1973, and graduated from Newbury High School, Class of 1992, where he played football for the Black Knights. John was employed by SMP Welding of Mentor, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, farming, racing stock cars at Painesville Speedway, and driving draft horses in competition at the Great Geauga County Fair. Survivors include his wife, Kim (nee Nagy) of Willowick; daughter, Falyn, at home; 3 sons, Tyler of New Mexico, and Cody and Austin of Nelson, Ohio; father, Lee H. of Newbury Twp.; and 2 brothers, Lee J. of Troy Twp., Ohio and Robert of Streetsboro, Ohio. John was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn (nee Shukys). The family will host a gathering for friends at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, Ohio, on Friday, May 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. Donations can be made to the family. Griffiths Jr., John Robinson*  
John was born in Phoenixville, PA on September 12, 1925 and passed away on Monday May 23, 2016. He graduated from Lansdowne High School near Philadelphia in 1943 and served in the Navy before attending the University of Maryland where he received a degree in physics. He was employed as an instrumentation engineer designing process control systems and continuous weighing systems for steel mills and breweries. John enjoyed restoring and driving his 1972 Volvo 1800 and attended many Volvo Club events. He enjoyed the companionship of his Scottish terrier, Duncan. John and his beloved wife, Rosemary, were residents of Newbury for 33 years. John is survived by his wife of 65 years and their three children; Jennifer, John and Paul; and five grandchildren, Erin, Evan, Ryan, Alysha, and Warren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday June 3rd at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street (on Rt. 44 500' south of Rt. 6 / Chardon Square) Chardon, Ohio. A service will be held after the visitation.

Grimes Sr., Samuel W.*  
Services for Samuel W. Grimes, Sr. will be held on Thursday, May 26 at the Spear–Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. The Reverend Douglas Reeder of Calvary Baptist Church will preside. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Samuel was born March 20, 1929 in Tunnelton, West Virginia to William and Ella (McGinnis) Grimes. He passed away May 22, 2016 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland surrounded by his family. Samuel graduated from Tunnelton High School in 1947. He worked on the W. Va. Northern Railroad in Tunnelton for 21 years and was a chemical engineer for Lubrizol in Painesville for 25 years. He enjoyed camping, wood working and always helping those in need. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and great great-grandfather He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Harriet (McGee) Grimes; son, Samuel W. Grimes, Jr. of Wickliffe; daughters, Ellen Lee of Youngstown, Cheryl (Jose) Becerra of Saybrook Township, and Tami Grimes of Painesville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benson, Fred, Donald and John (Calvin) Grimes; sisters, Letty Brown, Catherine Linaburg and Mary Hyatt. Donations in Mr. Grimes memory may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.
