Lattanzio, Bennett J.*
Bennett J. Lattanzio, age 55, a resident of Kirtland passed away peacefully on August 23, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1960, in Euclid, grew up in Wickliffe, and graduated from Wickliffe High School. Ben lived life to the fullest and loved to be out in nature any way he could. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and camper and enjoyed biking. Everyone that knows Ben knows that he was always a daredevil. As a young man, he enjoyed dirt bike racing. Many relatives will recall his whizzing by on his dirt bike while out at "camp" in West Virginia. He also loved our extreme winters and spent weeks snowmobiling with friends in Western Pennsylvania and Northern Michigan. Ben also enjoyed music and his mother's cooking -- he never turned down her pasta or eggplant parmigiana and always made sure he had a "care" package to take home. He was the proud father of Bennett Gregory and Nathanial Michael; beloved son of Pauline (Renzella) Lattanzio; dear brother of Ronald of Wickliffe, Gregory (Patti) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Angela of Kirtland; uncle to Paula, Christopher, Alyssa and Christina Lattanzio, and great uncle to Jeremy Ronald Drake. Additionally, Ben was so very blessed with having in is life many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends. He truly treasured the relationships he had with them all. He was preceded in death by his father, Bonifacio ("Ben"); paternal grandparents, Pelino ("George") and Angela Lattanzio and maternal grandparents Nicola and Filomena Renzella. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 and 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Prayer services will immediately follow visitation. Ben will be cremated.
