Jakfalvi, George*  
George Jakfalvi, 79, of Euclid, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in Euclid. Born Oct. 17, 1935, in Hungary, he has been a Euclid resident for 43 years. George loved his wife and was very generous to his family and friends. He was the best cook and a lifelong gardener who enjoyed his flowers. He worked for Leece-Neville as a set-up man for 45 years. Survivors are his loving stepchildren, Lorraine (Tom) Flanagan and Wayne (Dolores) Vehar; grandchildren, Christine, Phillip, Jason and Ben; great-grandchildren, Keegan, Carson, Anna and Velia. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Mary Ann P. (nee Laskey), in 2007. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 28th 11 a.m. at Jack Monreal – Coyne Funeral Home, 31925 Vine Street in Willowick. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 27th at the funeral home. Kelly, John F.*  
Funeral Mass for John F. Kelly, 94, of Willoughby will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Mr. Kelly passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Fairmount Health Care Center in Willoughby. Born Jan. 13, 1921 in Dublin, Ireland, he was a resident of Lake County for 59 years living in Willoughby. John was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the church's Men's Holy Name Society where he was the member of the year. He was also a member of the West Side Irish American Club and the East Side Irish American Club and former member of the Sons and Daughters of Erin, and a lifelong member of the Ridge Acres Civic Association. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He loved gardening and playing the accordion. John was the loving father of Kevin J. (Peggy) Kelly, John F. (Angie) Kelly Jr., Daniel P. (Melissa) Kelly, James D. (Sara) Kelly and Patrick J. (Kim) Kelly; cherished grandfather of Kevin (Colleen), Sean, Maureen, Caitlin (Jon) Jungklaus, Brenna (Keith) Dailey, Loren, Katie, Rachel, Maire and Fiona; great grandfather of Oliver Dailey; brother of Loughlin J. (Carol) Kelly; and uncle of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean F. (nee Barnes) Kelly in 2011; grandson, Ryan Patrick; parents, John J. and Kathleen A. (nee English) Kelly; brother, William J. Kelly; and sister-in-law, Mae Kelly. Family will receive friends at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township. Catherine "Cathy" L. Kirkpatrick, age 54, of PainesvilleTwp, passed away at her residence Monday July 13, 2015. She was born January 5, 1961 in Washington, IN. Mrs. Kirkpatrick had worked at Case Western Reserve University and had attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Mentor. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, James; daughter Catrina Glass; granddaughter Christa Jones; mother Phyllis Mandabach; brothers Jessie (Denise) Mandabach and Terry (Kate Mary) Mandabach; as well as other loving family. She was preceded in death by her father Paul Mandabach. A funeral mass will be held 12 p.m. Friday July 31, 2015 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Kocjan, Anton*  
Mass of Christian Burial for Anton Kocjan, 90, of Euclid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at St. Vitus Church, 6019 Lausche Ave., Cleveland, followed by burial in All Souls Cemetery. Mr. Kocjan passed away Saturday at his residence. Born to the late Joze and Ana Kocjan in Ponova vas pri Grosupljema, Slovenia, he had been a resident of Euclid for 48 years. He was employed as a tool and die maker for the Scottish Tool & Die Co. in Cleveland for 26 years. Anton was a founding member of the Slovenska Pristava, a member of the Slovenska Pristava Pensioners and KSKJ Sacred Heart of Jesus Lodge #226. He was an avid gardener, loved to walk and spending time with his grandchildren. Anton is survived by his daughters, Mary Petelin and Kathy Maurice; grandchildren, Tanya (Pete) Loncar, Tina Petelin, Teja (Rick) Novak, Dani (Adam) Moody; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marija (Prijatelj), in June 2015; daughter, Elizabeth; six siblings all of Slovenia; and grandchildren, Christopher and Baby Maurice. Family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills.

Komssi, Richard A*  
Richard A. Komssi, age 61, of Concord Twp., Ohio, passed away at home. He was born October 25, 1953 in Painesville, Ohio to Doris I. (nee Lenk) and Arvo W. Komssi. Richard enjoyed hunting, feeding the birds and watching small wildlife. He served our country in the U.S. Marines. He is survived by two daughters, Erika (John) Salyards, Regina (Jacob) Schobel both of Altoona, PA; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two sisters, Sharynne (Don) Jacobson of Madison, OH, Loretta (George) Veloski of New Albany, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service at Concord Cemetery, SR 608, Concord Township, Ohio will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Kostelnik, Margaret "Peggy" (DeVan)*  
Funeral Mass for Margaret "Peggy" (nee DeVan) Kostelnik, 60, of Concord Township, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, 242 N. State St., Painesville. (Friends are asked to meet at the church.) Fr. Chris Zerucha will officiate the Mass. Mrs. Kostelnik passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at her home. Born Oct. 12, 1954, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Concord Township for the past 23 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Painesville and an active member of Greyhound Adoption of Ohio. Peggy loved her dogs and her horse. She also enjoyed going to their cabin near Pymatuning, where it was nice and peaceful. Mrs. Kostelnik was a 27-year employee of the City of Willoughby, where she had been a secretary with the Community Development Department and the Airport Commission, Deputy Council Clerk, and the administrative assistant to Mayor Dave Anderson for the past four years. She was the beloved wife of 23 years to William J. "Bill" Kostelnik; sister of Richard T. DeVan; sister-in-law of Melanie Clark, Tom (Linda) Kostelnik, Connie (Gerry) Theobold, John Kostelnik, Marla Trisler, Nancy McLaughlin, Patty (Kevin) Byrnes, Carol Hutchinson, Gail (Ken) Brugh, Kenny Kostelnik and Kevin Kostelnik; daughter-in-law of Mickey and Mary (nee Clifford) Kostelnik; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Talcott E. and Elsie K. (nee Kolarovic) DeVan; and brother, Thomas P. DeVan. Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. Kruse, Emil Joseph*  
Emil Joseph Kruse, 59, passed away July 26, 2015 at his home in Eastlake, Ohio. Emil suffered for 1 1/2 years from pancreatic cancer. He is loved and missed by his family and friends. He was an avid boater and spent all his summer weekends at Marblehead. Emil worked his entire career at LTV Steel and Arcelormittal. He is survived by companion, Deborah Peterson; daughters, Kimberly (Kruse) Wiseman, Kristina Kruse, & Jennifer Burkett; grandchildren, Kailey & Ryan Wiseman and Jakob & Jalyssa Burkett; sisters, Angela Dugick & Evelyn Begue; brothers, Edwin Kruse & Bernhard Kruse; former spouse, Gale Jasko, as well as loving nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin & Maria Kruse. Memorial service will be held 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 1st, at Jakubs-Danaher Funeral Home 36000 Lake Shore Blvd, Eastlake, Ohio where friends will be received from 3 p.m. until the start of service. Liddy, Shirley J.*  
Shirley J. Liddy, 75, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Perry, passed away on July 3, 2015. Shirley was born on Dec. 25, 1939, in Cleveland and was known to many as "Corky" and was a former owner/operator of "The Patio" for 10 years. Shirley also raised Irish Wolfhounds and was owner of O'Liddy's Irish Kennels for more than 30 years. Shirley was a proud loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend to many and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Shirley is survived by her husband, William J. Liddy; children, Barbara Morford, William (Sue) Liddy, Timothy Liddy, Brian Liddy, and Shannon Liddy; brother, Roger (Sharon) Krug; sister, Patricia ( Don) Whigham; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Richard J. Liddy; mother, Mary J. Dedek; and sister, Joyce Huggins. Shirley requested a private cremation. A celebration of her life will be held in Perry at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Venice Fla. St. Francis Animal Rescue.

Long, Michael S "Mike"*  
Michael S. "Mike" Long age 58 of Mentor for the past 8 years, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at South Pointe Hospital, Warrensville Heights. He was born April 9, 1957 in Steubenville. Mike was a certified Diesel Mechanic for Conrail for 16 years. After that he was a machinist for various companies throughout Lake County. He enjoyed playing pool. Survivors include his wife of 19 years Cindy Long, son: Steven Long, son: Michael (Nancy) Long, Step-son: Ray (Andrea) Spangler, daughter: April (John) Kozloski and Step-daughter: Stephanie (Justin) Jordan, 10 grandchildren: Sage, Marissa, Ariana, Skyler, Madison, Angel, Logan, Mikayla, Sophia and Brighton, siblings: Mary Long, Charles (Sue) Long, Donald, Tim and Gary Long. Preceding Mike in death is his parents: Charles and Evadon Long, siblings: Colleen Kozloski and Patrick Long. Maloney, Christopher M.*  
Christopher M. Maloney, age 42, born in Willoughby on April 8, 1973, passed away on July 20, 2015, from his addiction of inhaling propellants from a can of Air Duster. Chris graduated from Willoughby South High School in 1991. He was a proud and loving son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed by many. Drugs took ahold of Chris' life and made life hard not only for himself, but for those around him who loved him so dearly. This is being shared to make people aware of Christopher's struggle and the dangers of drug addiction. The family hopes this will help anyone who struggles with drug addiction and show the consequences of such a poor decision. The family is saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man but they know Chris is now at peace with his mother Kathryn Maloney. He is survived by his loving father, Michael Maloney; his sister, Michelle "Shelly" Maloney; his aunts, Thelma (Donald) Fairbanks, Martha (Norbert) Fox, Kitty (Bill) Morgan; his uncle, Daniel (Lin) Maloney; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Kathryn Maloney. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. A private family burial will occur at Willoughby Memorial Garden Cemetery.
