Sophia Agnes Sklad age 96 passed away July 23, 2015 at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Richmond Hts.. Sophia was Born July 4, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a Homemaker who enjoyed Knitting and Crocheting and donating the blankets she made. She was a blood donor who donated 68 pints of blood. Sophia is survived by her children; Phyllis (Philip) Yannacio, Thaddeus Jr. and Paul (Peggy), her grandchildren: Karen, Michael and Erica: great-grandchild Blaise. She was preceded in death by her husband; Thaddeus Sklad Sr. and her sister Casmira. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. at SS. Robert and William Parish (367 East 260 St. Euclid, Ohio) where family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment All Souls Cemetery. Donations may be made to SS. Smith, Larry D.*  
Larry D. Smith Ph.D., 68, of Mentor for the past 25 years, died Saturday July 18, 2015 at Lake West Medical Center. He was born June 26, 1947 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. A veteran of the U.S. Navy. Dr. Smith was a regulatory consultant. For 14 years he owned and operated LS Consulting Services, LLC. Prior to that he worked at American Phytopathological Society, ISK Biosciences Corp., Pennwalt Corp and Chemlawn Corp. He was an Associate Professor at Tennessee Technical University. Dr. Smith received his Doctorate-PhD-Plant Pathology Degree from the University of Illinois in 1978, his Master's Degree from the University of Arkansas, and his Bachelor of Science in Biology & Chemistry from Little Rock University, 1969. Larry was a member of the Alumni Associations at University of Illinois and University of Arkansas and a member of American Phytopathological Society. Survivors include his wife of 40 years: Mary Lou Smith; son Scott G. (Kristen) Smith and other family members. He is preceded in death by his parents: Russell and Mildred Smith; in-laws: Eldon and Margaret Henderson. Dr. Smith was a tissue/organ donor through Lifebanc. Karen E. (Anthony) Starkweather, age 67, a lifelong Madison resident, died Tuesday July 21, 2015 at Tri-Point Medical Center, Concord. She was born May 7, 1948 in Cleveland. Karen devoted her nursing care career of 25 years to caring for the elderly at various facilities in the Lake County Area. Karen was a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Paula (Jim) McGuire, Tracie Starkweather-Waterman, Bob (Lourella) Starkweather, David (Mary) Starkweather and Karla (Ray) Carnes; grandchildren, Kayla (Branden) Collins, Ashley (Fiance, Joe Prochaska) McGuire, Brandon McGuire, Michael (Tara) Starkweather, Trevor (Jen) Starkweather, Joe, Camren, David, John and Christy Starkweather and Rebekah Krueger; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Emily, Madaleigh and Ryelynn Emmalee; siblings, Alice (Harry) Bolaney, Clarence Anthony, Bob (Donna) Anthony; and sister in law, Charlotte Roberts. Preceding Karen in death is her husband, Leon N. Starkweather; infant daughter, Christina; son, Leon N. Starkweather Jr.; parents, Clarence and Anna Anthony; and sister, Carol (Harold) Carcell. Tuori, Irene Y.*  
Irene Y. Tuori, age 87, a lifelong resident of Fairport Harbor, passed away on July 23, 2015, at Tri-Point Medical Center. Irene was born in Fairport Harbor on Jan. 17, 1928, and was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church and a graduate of Harding High School in Fairport Harbor. She had been employed at the Diamond Shamrock Credit Union as a loan officer. She is survived by her nieces, Shirley (Hal) Campbell and Nancy Kochis; great-niece, Jennifer (Mike) Chancey; great-nephew, Brian (Vicky) Kochis; five great-great-nieces and nephews, Wesley, Gabriela, Anthony, Brayden and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin A. Tuori, in 1995: parents, Nicholas and Ethel Zavore; sisters, Florence Willberg and Helen Johns; and brother, Nick Zavore. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Hungarian Reformed Church with the Reverend Louis Medgyesi officiating. Burial will be Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Potti Funeral Home, 538 Fifth Street, Fairport Harbor.

Wheeler, Carmen G.*  
"Together Again" Carmen G. Wheeler, 83 of Mentor since 1957, passed away Friday July 24, 2015 at Heartland of Mentor, Mentor. She was born January 20, 1932 in Cleveland. Mrs. Wheeler was a homemaker. She was a Harvey High School Graduate, Class of 1950. She enjoyed going on model A trips with the Pen Ohio club. She loved Christmas (especially decorating). Carmen always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Marlene Gielink, Judy (Nelson) Platz, Cindy (Doug) Daugherty, Dale (Gerri) Wheeler and Brent Wheeler; grandchildren, Amy (Clint) Buchanan, Autumn Gielink, Gennie Platz, Dale and Alyssa Wheeler, Jeff Wheeler; four great-grandchildren, Blase, Bella, Payton and Paige. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Robert H. "Bob" Wheeler; parents, Fred and Gladys Smith; sister, Marjorie Kostelnik; brother, Eugene Smith; and son in law, Karl Gielink. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Wilson, Paul E.*  
Paul E. Wilson, 81, of Mentor, passed away July 25, 2015. He was born in Cleveland, on April 21, 1934, to the late George and Hilda Wilson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A proud U.S. Army Veteran. Paul retried from Ohio Bell after 36 years of service. He was active member of the Collinwood Memories group and in his free time he enjoyed golfing. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Joyce; his children, Paul, Kathleen (Daniel); his grandchildren, Brittany (Brad), Daniel, Bridget, Michael and Analise; his brother, Robert (fiancée Sue); his sister-in-law, Barbara; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd, William, Richard and George Wilson. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Monreal Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a donation in Paul's honor can be made to the APL.

Woloszynek, Frederick R. "Fred"*  
Frederick "Fred" R. Woloszynek, 67, was lifted up into the arms of the Lord he loved so passionately on July 25, 2015. His brave battle against illness is over and he is free to sing and dance again. He was born October 29, 1947 in Cleveland. Mr. Woloszynek had retired after more than 30 years as a data security manager at the Euclid plant for the former Reliance Electric Company. Fred loved his God, his family, computers, movies, puzzles and games, especially Farm Town, a Facebook game that he played. He organized multiple prayer chains on social media. Fred was active in scouting for many years, going on adventures with his family. He was a huge James Bond and Star Wars fan. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda (Himes); sons, Tony (Michelle) Woloszynek, Tim (Lisa) Woloszynek and Drew Woloszynek; grandchildren, Dakota, Olivia and Robert; father in law, Robert A. Himes; sister, Delores Krueger; brothers, Daniel (Kathy) Woloszynek and Ronald "Butch" (Anita) Woloszynek; and other loving family. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at The Grove Church of Lake County, 1697 Mentor Ave., Painesville Twp., OH 44077. The family will receive friends 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Inurnment will be in Concord Twp. Woodworth, Michelle Marthe*  
Michelle Marthe Woodworth, age 40, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., passed away Nov. 22, 2014. She was born to Sandra Marthe White and graduated from Grand Valley High School in Orwell. The family attended Christian Life Church in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Michelle's stepfather, Robert White, passed away Feb. 14, 2015. Michelle worked for Sim Recycling and Stone Rivers Manor, as well as The Gabels for 10 years. Michelle is survived by her husband of 15 years, James Woodworth; her children, Andre Woodworth and Nate Woodworth, who were the light of her life; and niece, Heather Marthe Baker, who she loved so much; and her beloved pets, Max, Gertrude and Amika. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 26, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Madison Township Park, 6717 Lake Road in Madison. There will be a picnic in the pavilion as well as swimming. Please join Jim, Andre and Nate Woodworth in celebrating Michelle's life.

Memorial services for Donna L. (Keiter) Allchin, 77, of Eastlake, will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Willoughby Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4095 Kirtland Road, Willoughby. Elder John Evatz will conduct the service. Mrs. Allchin passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her home. Born February 3, 1938 in Cleveland, she was a lifelong Lake County resident. She was a member of the Willoughby Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved nature and swimming, and had a chance to swim with dolphins, manatees and a shark in Florida. She also enjoyed traveling, and visiting other Jehovah's Witness congregations. Survivors are her husband of nearly 30 years, Ernest Allchin; sons, Mark (Julie) Keiter and Dale (Cathy) Keiter; grandchildren, Breanna Keiter, Jessah (Jesse) Pastor, Lara Keiter, Dylan Keiter, Lisa (John) Ovelgonne, Jessica (Josh) Ladd, Ethan Ridgeway, Sarah Ridgeway, Brooke (Tim) Tobin, Angelique (Joshua) Seese, Erianna Keiter and Fenix Keiter; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Joshua, Silas, Ryker, Coewen, Mckenzie, Haylee, Cameron, Wyatt, Josiah, Ryan, Danielle, Matthew, Ryan and Blake. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Louis and Dorathea Louise (Galbraith) Kerchgassner and her sister, Lois Van Dyke.

Betty L. (nee Morgan) Bauer, 87, died June 11, 2015. She was the wife of William Thomas Bauer (deceased); dear mother of Charles Bauer and Carol McAnulty (Paul); loving grandmother of Lee Bauer; beloved daughter of Thomas Morgan (deceased) and Elbertice Colby Morgan (deceased). She was a lover of music and a longtime member of the Sweet Adelines, as well as the Parma Entertainers, the Trebletones, Brecksville Garden Club, and Mayfield UMC Hilltoppers among many other groups. She also was the proprietor of the Shore Copy Center in Euclid. Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on July 27, 2015 at the Lakefront Lodge in Willowick.
