Alice Carole Marshall, age 81, of Painesville, formerly of Wadsworth, died March 17, 2012, at Emeritus of Mentor.
She was born July 18, 1930, in Cleveland.
Mrs. Marshall was a 1948 graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland. She attended Miami University in Oxford for two years, and received her bachelor and master's degrees from the University of Akron.
She had worked as a teacher and supervisor of special education at various schools in Summit County and the Akron area.
Survivors include her children, William H. (Patrice) Marshall IV, Peggy (Greg) Youdath, Scott (Karen) Marshall, Keith (Lori) Marshall and Todd (Mary) Marshall; grandchildren, William H. "Bo" Marshall V, Ian, Tristan, Wesley and Claire Marshall, Gregory (Natalie) Youdath, Anne (Hank) Bernacki, Robert Youdath, Emily and Kaitlyn Marshall, Megan and Jena Maxwell, Kylie Roswell, Micaela and Alec Marshall; great-grandchildren, Finnegan and Isabelle; sister, Mary Corrigan; and loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Marshall III.
Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township, OH 44060. (Please meet at the church.)
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Inurnment will be at Sharon Center Cemetery in Sharon Center.
