Services for Betty Jane (Scott) Luke, 72, of Eastlake, will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Mrs. Luke passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at her home.
Born March 29, 1941, in Cleveland, she has lived in Eastlake for the past 47 years.
She was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors are her children, Terrie (Steven) Luke-Britton, John (Joanne) Luke, Jr., William A. Luke, and Shellie (Dale) Luke-Reed, all of Eastlake; grandchildren, Shannon, Angela, Bruce, Jennifer, Amber, April, Bryan, John III, Jessica, Katherine, Danielle, Makenzie, Mathew and Allen, Timothy, Tiffany and Gina; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Donna (Jim) Weiss of Cleveland; and brother-in-law, Jim (Linda) Luke and sister-in-law, Shirley Luke, all of Streetsboro. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John A. Luke, Sr. on February 18, 2003. Her sons, Michael and James Luke; granddaughter, Samantha Renee Flick; parents, Lawrence and Esther (Templeman) Scott; brother, Lawrence Scott; her in-laws, Morrison and Ruth Luke; brothers-in-law, Bob (Clara) Luke, Dale (Judy) Luke, Gerald Luke; sister-in-law, Marian Robinson; nephew, Robert Robinson; and niece, Margaret Sopcak.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014, at the funeral home. Pastor Chris Fisher of the Community of the Holy Spirit Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service.
