Christine Marie Parsel(1930 - 2013)

Christine Marie Parsel, 83, beloved wife and mother, passed away at Hospice of Marion County in Summerfield, Fla., on Dec. 13, 2013.
Christine was born in 1930 in Fairport Harbor, to Andrew Kraynik and Mary Kraynik (Locotosh). She was the youngest of four children.
Christine was a 1948 graduate of Fairport High School and a 1952 graduate of Bowling Green University where she studied Elementary Education. She enjoyed a teaching career that spanned 34 years and several states. She spent most of her career teaching kindergarten, where she brought her love of learning and laughter to ""her babies"" every day. Christine was an inspiring teacher and role model, and was recognized for her excellence in teaching by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation in Ohio for her talent and dedication. Besides her family and friends, Christine's true love was Mickey Mouse. She never passed an opportunity to spend time with Mickey in the Magic Kingdom and was an active member in the Mickey's Fanatics Club in The Villages, Florida. Christine and Dick recently celebrated their 60th anniversary on a Disney cruise. Even in her 80s, she lit up with joy when visiting the ""Happiest Place on Earth"" with family and friends. She truly embodied the spirit of Walt Disney's vision, ""Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. Dreams are forever.""
She is survived by her husband, Richard ""Dick"" Parsel; daughter, Susan Parsel-Armagost and her son-in-law, Karl ""Stormy"" Armagost. She also had a four-footed ""kid,"" Barkley, whom she loved to spoil.
Her sisters, Agnes Creedon (Kraynik) and Eleanor Starovecky (Kraynik), and her brother, Paul Kraynik, all preceded her in death.
