Corinne Jane (Kohler) Laffey(1969-2012)

Corinne Jane (Kohler) Laffey, 43, of Lyndhurst, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend and teacher, brought love and joy to all. God bless her soul. She passed from this Earth to the Heavens above Dec. 17, 2012, at University Hospital in Cleveland, after a long, courageous battle that inspired many.
She was born Feb. 4, 1969, in Painesville and had lived in Madison before moving to Lyndhurst 34 years ago.

Cori will always be remembered as a devoted teacher, who touched the hearts of many, both young and old, with love, laughter and her amazing personality.
She graduated from Charles F. Brush High School Class of 1987, received an associate's degree from Lakeland Community College in early childhood education and a bachelor's degree from Ashford University in Iowa.
Cori worked in various preschool teaching jobs, was a mentor, friend and caregiver to the Chilcote family, started and taught the preschool program at St. Paschal Baylon School. She loved being a mother, wife and watching her kids and cheering for them at all their sporting events. She also enjoyed playing cards (Euchre), being a track athlete, skiing and going out to lunch.
Survivors are her husband, Thomas III; children, Samantha and Thomas IV; parents, Edward and Barbara Kohler; siblings, Colleen Salamon, Kenneth (Marta) Kohler, Christine (Randall) Myeroff, Claire (Michael) Laffey and Kimberly Kohler; mother-in-law, Suzanne Laffey; grandmother, Ethel Wlodarski; sister-in-law, Maureen (Stan) Kosilesky; brother-in-law, Patrick Laffey; nieces and nephews Melissa, Lauren, Andrew, Nicholas, Lisa, Erin, Ryan, Natalie, Craig, Nathan, Peter, Jason, Joe, Mikey, Kevin Erica and Stan.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Laffey; and grandparents, John and Marge Fallet and Glen and Dorothy Kohler.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The DiCicco and Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Road (at Lander Road), Mayfield Heights.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights, OH 44143. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. (Please meet at the church.)
