Diane E. Hamilton, 70 of Rock Creek, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at UHHS Geauga Medical Center.
She was born on August 4, 1943 in Cleveland, daughter of Frank Rodic and Mary Lena (Kertes) Rodic Kender.
Diane was a graduate of Collinwood High School. Married 51 years to Edward Hamilton, Sr.; they were residents of Rock Creek six years coming from Newbury. She worked in the Cafeteria for Newbury Schools, Notre Dame School, and then at LFE in Chesterland.
Her hobbies included crafts, sewing, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting, flower gardening, and watching the birds. She loved her cats and enjoyed feeding the backyard animals.
She will be missed dearly by her friends and family; her husband, Edward; her daughter, Veronica (Frank Lew) Hamilton of Roaming Shores; her son, Ed (Joy) Hamilton, Jr. of Newbury; four grandchildren, Travis, Cody, and Dylan Hamilton, and Reagan Lew; her sister-in-law, Ruth Hawkins of TX; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank Rodic and Mary Lena Kender.
A Graveside Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday June 28, 2014 at Rome North Cemetery at Rt. 45 and Laskey Road, Rome, Ohio. Pastor Steve Arsulic of Eagleville Baptist Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to the family to help with expenses.
