Edna (Flynn) Urbania, 69, a lifelong Willowick resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born May 11, 1944, in Lourdes, Newfoundland.
Mrs. Urbania was a proud American citizen, becoming a U.S. citizen in 1976. Edna had a love of cooking, cleaning and helping others. She always fed many during the holidays. She was an excellent cook, mother and grandmother, who was never short on stories. She will be missed by many, but will be reunited with her parents in Newfoundland for her burial.
Edna is survived by her four sons, Dennis M. Urbania of Willowick, Daniel D. (Bernadette) Urbania of Mentor, Kenneth F. (Michele) Urbania Jr. of Willoughby and Michael P. (Kelley) Urbania of Mentor; grandchildren, Brittany, Anthony, Nicole, Adam, Austin, Jessica and Collin Urbania, Paige and Matthew Perko; 19 siblings; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Flynn; and father and stepmother, Michael and Leana Flynn.
A celebration of Edna's life will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
