Frances C. Snodgrass, 82, a homemaker, died July 15, 2013, at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born Nov. 15, 1930, in Clarksburg, W.Va., to Horace and Nellie (nee Jenkins) Rice, she had been a longtime Geauga County resident.
Frances Rice married Jimmie Snodgrass in Angola, Ind., in 1955. The couple owned and operated the Viking Restaurant in Chardon for six years. He preceded her in death Jan. 19, 2003.
Frances is survived by her children, Jimi (Mary) of Lyndhurst and Cynthia (Jerry) Commisso of Concord Township; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joshua Lemr) Fielder of Concord Township, Ernie (Sarah) Fielder of Mentor and Nicki (Chris) Wilkes of Geneva; great-grandchildren, Madeline Claire Hadorn, Noah Ross Hadorn and Liam Franklin Fielder; and longtime friend, Marylou Richardson of Chardon.
She was preceded in death her parents; and husband.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square) Chardon.
