Frank R. Ferrato, 62, born Oct. 11, 1951, a longtime Mentor resident, formerly of Euclid, died Oct. 19, 2013, in his home after a battle with melanoma.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda (Pepp) Ferrato. He was a devoted father to Dan (Nichole), Frank (Jena) and Joseph Ferrato as well as a loving grandfather to Danny, Samantha, Dominic, Olivia and Francesca Ferrato. He is also survived by his mother, Angeline Ferrato of Concord; and siblings, Ronald (Karen) Ferrato of Concord and Linda (Paul) Crowley of Euclid.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Ferrato.
Frank was a co-owner, with his best friend Norm Locker, of Frank's Auto Sales of 8585 Mentor Ave., Mentor. He had a heart of gold and loved Jesus. He was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Frank loved the Lord and all he wanted in his life was that everyone he touched to know that all is possible through Jesus Christ.
The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Grace Hospice, 7314 Industrial Park Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060 or to TriPoint Medical Foundation, 7590 Auburn Road, Concord Township, OH 44060, as an appreciation to the wonderful care they gave Frank during his last days before going home to the Lord.
