Jacqueline A. Peklay(1930-2013)

A celebration of life Mass for Jacqueline A. Peklay, 82, of Mentor, a homemaker, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Mrs. Peklay passed away Feb. 15, 2013.
She was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Youngstown, and had lived in Euclid before moving to Mentor.
Jackie graduated from Euclid Central in 1948, when she became engaged. Jackie and Stan were married Jan. 15, 1949 and just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. She enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music. Jake Zaggar even wrote and dedicated a waltz in their honor titled," Peklay's Waltz." Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren, who were the loves of her life.
Survivors are her husband, Stanley; children, Stanley (Diana) Peklay, Janet Sivik and Albert (Joanna) Peklay; grandchildren, Steven Sivik, Robert (Jackie) Sivik, Michael (Sarah) Sivik, Mark (Katie) Peklay, Lisa (Jeff) Budrys, Jacob and Amanda Peklay; and sisters, Patsy Kost and Susan Doell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Marie Boyd; and brothers, Arnold and Donald Boyd.
