James Wilbur Borger, 76, of Richwood, Texas, passed away Oct. 17, 2013.
James was born Aug. 15, 1937, in Painesville, to Chauncey and Kathleen Borger.
He moved to Texas from Ohio in 1977. Shortly after moving to Texas, James began working for Shintech and worked there until 2000.
He enjoyed volunteering for the Prescription Assistance Program and continued to volunteer until his health prevented him from continuing.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy Borger; sons, Christopher James and wife Minerva Borger, David Scott and wife Christina Borger, John Borger; brother, C. Thomas Borger and wife Arlene; five grandchildren, Caroline, Alex, Sean, Sophia and Violet.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Jeffrey Thomas Borger; granddaughter, Lindsey Claire Borger; mother-in-law, Mary J. Fantt.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas with a service that was held at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mothers and Wives of Veterans of Lake Jackson or the ASPCA of Brazoria County.
