Memorial services for Joanne L. (Lamb) Brown, 73, of Concord Township, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Eastlake Baptist Church, 35401 Stevens Boulevard, Eastlake. The Rev. Mark Hord will officiate at the service.
Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, June 16, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
She was born July 27, 1940, in Nashville, Tenn., she had lived in Mentor for several years before moving to Concord Township 14 years ago.
She was an active member of Eastlake Baptist Church where she sang with the choir, participated in the women's fellowship and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Mentor Senior Citizens Center where she enjoyed singing with the Music Makers and she enjoyed sewing, cooking and flower arranging.
Mrs. Brown was a personnel secretary in human resources and later became an active volunteer in the library at Brentmoor Elementary School in Mentor.
Survivors are her husband of 37 years, Joseph J. Brown; son, Sean, both of Concord Township; and her brother, Tom "Butch" Lamb, of Atlanta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Frances (Holland) Lamb; her sisters, Grace (Lamb) (Kokenos) Hody and Nancy Griggs and her brother, James Lamb.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
