Services for John T. Knox, 92, of Mentor, will be 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, immediately prior to the service.
Mr. Knox passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014.
Born March 17, 1921, in Cleveland, he had lived in Mentor for more than 40 years.
Mr. Knox was a member of the Clifton-Gaston Allen Lodge 664 F and AM in Lakewood, an avid sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Indians, and he enjoyed fishing.
Survivors are his daughter, Margaret Ann (Russ) Myrick of Pensacola, Fla.; and grandson, David J. Bainton of Jefferson. He also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and their families, including Ruth (Jim) Cudnik of Willoughby.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Lois Ann on Jan. 11, 2000. His parents, Thomas and Mary Knox; and sister, Ruth Herrmann are also deceased.
Private burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
