Kenneth Alden Roye, 52, of Streetsboro, passed away Oct. 22, 2013.
He was born Oct. 18, 1961, in Texas City, Texas, to his mother, Kathryn Knolle Roye and his father, Harold Neal Roye.
He grew up in Alvin, Texas, and graduated from Alvin High School where his passion was in rodeo. He won many buckles for bull-riding.
Kenneth was a supervisor for The News-Herald in Willoughby for 13 years. His job and especially his co-workers meant a great deal to him as did the whole area.
He loved to hunt and fish. Some of his ashes will be spread on his favorite lake by his fishing buddies.
He is survived by his mother and father; his brother, Glenn Roye; sister, Kayla Tragesser; his aunt, Darlene Knolle and her family; his uncles, Torchy Flora and Billy Roye and their families; and nephews, Jeremy (Krissa) Smith, Eric (Mandy) Knight, as well as Ryan McGinn. He also leaves his dear friend, Alyson Jobling and her son.
There will be an informal day of remembrance 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2207 Louis St., Alvin, TX 77511.
