Laura "Cookie" Lombardo(1959-2013)

Services for Laura "Cookie" Lombardo, age 53, of Madison will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born June 14, 1959, in East Cleveland, she passed away Feb. 10, 2013, at her home.
Laura was a 1977 graduate of Riverside High School. She enjoyed playing youth and adult softball, where she met her husband. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being on her laptop computer. In the summer, she enjoyed being in her swimming pool with family, friends and neighbors, but especially liked watching her son play baseball, and visiting and vacationing in Charleston, S.C., with her daughter and son-in-law.
She was a great wife, mother and a friend, who always was willing to help anyone in need. She put others before herself and was a strong willed lady.
She was employed by Riverside High School in the cafeteria for 17 years.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ronald; daughter, Marie (Ryan) Cipolletta; son, Mario (fiancee, Stephanie Chernesky) Lombardo; brothers and sisters, Ralph "Ed" (Diane) Cook, George (Beth) Cook, Vicki (Brian) Vickery, John (Christine) Cook; and sister-in-law, Paula Yranian. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Lynn Lombardo; parents, Donald and Jean (Bandtell) Cook; and maternal grandmother, Frances Bandtell "Na Na Na."
