Leo G. Schneider, 99, of Willoughby for six years, passed away Sept. 15, 2013, in Willoughby.
He was born Feb. 28, 1914, in Valley City.
Leo was a World War II
Veteran. He worked many years for the Federal Reserve System and was appointed as Examiner for Federal Reserve Bank in 1961. A former resident of South Euclid and parishioner of St. Margaret Mary, Leo moved to Willoughby about six years ago. He loved to travel to Hawaii, California and Las Vegas. Leo will be well remembered as a sweet, caring, personable man who enjoyed being social and was popular with many.
He was a beloved uncle, great-uncle and a friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona; parents, Leo J. and Emma C. Schneider; and brother, Paul.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094. The Rev. George Smiga will officiate at services. Burial following with military honors at Lake View Cemetery.
Friends may pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Leo from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday morning at St. Noel Church.
