Norbert C. Callahan(1927-2012)

Mass of Christian Burial for Norbert C. Callahan, 85, of Euclid, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Ss. Robert and William Church, 367 East 260th St., Euclid.
Mr. Callahan passed away Dec. 31, 2012, in Willoughby.
Born May 23, 1927, in Patton, Pa., Norb served in the United States Army post-World War II and worked 47 years as a welder and warehouse supplier at Reliance Electric until his retirement in 1990.
He was an avid hobbyist and collector and particularly liked to spend time with his many nieces and nephews with his train village. Norb leaves a legacy of love, quiet generosity and a fierce commitment to family.
Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Dorothy L. (nee Sisco); two sons, Gary Callahan and Norbert W. (Darlene) Callahan; siblings, Edgar (Marie), Ethel Kimack and Colleen (Barry) Molyneaux; and brother-in-law, William Kimak. He was also uncle; great-uncle; and great-great-uncle to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Theresa (nee Yeckley) Callahan; daughter, Sharon Callahan Foss; siblings, Harold, John Earl, Viola, Theresa, Robert, Francis, Paul, James and Charles; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Kimack and Helen Grace.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119 or Ss Robert and William Church. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
