Robert Emmett ""Casey"" Roach Sr., 78, of Willoughby, passed away Sept. 25, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 16, 1934, to the late Matthew and Catherine (O'Connor) Roach.
He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and then went on to get his bachelor's degree at Cleveland State University.
Robert was a U.S. Army
veteran during the German Occupation. After serving, he worked for over 30 years at Interior Steel. Most recently, Mr. Roach had worked at the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rita (Casey); children, Robert (Tina) Roach Jr., Kate (Chris) Yurick and James (Kathleen) Roach; grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly, Ian, Alex, Brendan and Maggie; and sister, Rosemary Siller.
Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Paul, Thomas, Gerald, Daniel and Catherine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
