Rocco "Rocky" Tripepi(1928-2014)

Funeral Mass for Rocco "Rocky" Tripepi, 85, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Father Christopher Weber will officiate at the Mass.
Rocky passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Mease Continuing Care Center in Dunedin, Fla.
Born Oct. 10, 1928 in Lorain, he had been a Pinellas County resident for seven years, living in Dunedin and had previously lived in Painesville and Mentor.
He was a retired T.R.W. employee and after his retirement he worked for many years as a greeter for McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes. In fact with his quiet way about him, he helped so many people in difficult times and to Rocky helping people was just natural.
Rocky was a former Scout Master, loved his garden, being outside and playing cards; spending time and being with his grandsons was so important to him.
He was the loving father of Lynne (Roger) Tripepi-Hughes of Largo, Fla., Robert (Karen) Tripepi of Moscow, Idaho, Thomas (Debbie) Tripepi of Wickliffe and Lee Ann Tripepi of Dunedin Fla.; cherished grandfather of Rocky, Rob and Randy (Meghann) Lupi, Ann (Eric) Luvass, Mark and Ryan Tripepi, and Daniel, Timothy, Steven and Thomas Tripepi; great grandfather of Anthony Lupi and Hazel Luvass; brother of Carmen Tripepi; brother-in-law of Lou Tripepi and Vinnie Tripepi; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret L. "Peg" (nee Jackson) Tripepi in 2013; parents, Pasquale and Francesca (nee Rositano) Tripepi; brothers, Dominic, Patrick, Frank and Sam Tripepi; and sisters-in-law, Betty Tripepi and Hannah Tripepi.
The family will receive friends at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid
Ave., Willoughby, 3-8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery.
